The Gowanus Alliance is developing a character-based story line to help educate children about our community and Gowanus Canal. Through stories about the Canal’s history we are hoping to better understand the role it will play in the future of our city.Field trips to factories, studios and outdoor events would better connect our industrial community to our residential community. Further effort is to develop job internships for High School students at local member factories as well as job fairs to introduce local residents to available positions that may be available.
